The local Church was always God’s "Plan A" to father the fatherless. We inspire and rally the village around those who provide the home. Let’s surround the vulnerable children in our communities and foster families with wrap-around support.

The Crisis

South Africa has over 3.6 million vulnerable children. Tens of thousands are displaced in the system. They are not statistics; they are a generation waiting to be seen.

The Call

Scripture is not silent. Caring for vulnerable children is part of our mandate as followers of Christ – it’s the gospel outworked with our hands. James 1:27 calls care for the fatherless ‘pure religion.’

The Answer

We are building the village. Plan A mobilises local congregations into a structured network of practical, emotional, and spiritual support so no family fosters alone. Foster homes as well as Child and Youth Care Centres (CYCC) are supported by the church.

As The Church we want to wrap our arms around the vulnerable children in our community. We do this, not only by supporting local NGOs that care for children, but by raising and supporting foster families and surrounding these families with a network of support.
